meaningful change

Meaningful Change is a multi-agency campaign aimed at helping to positively change the lives of those who are street homeless or at risk of homelessness in Stratford-upon-Avon by diverting money away from funding harmful lifestyles into positive interventions for those most at need in Stratford. The campaigns also seeks to reduce street begging. We worked closely with Leamington to set up this scheme, the branding is the same but are administered by charities local to each area.

Through the campaign (funded by the PCC) we have purchased several new contactless giving devices provided by ‘Goodbox’ to enable centralised fundraising in our town centre which is administered by the Stratford Town Trust. Currently contactless giving points are located at Lush on High Street, Tesco Express on Bridge Street and the door of our Stratford Upon Avon BID office on Sheep Street. Please see the ‘Meaningful Change Stratford’ website for more information on the campaign.

Funding raised will be distributed between local organisations, specifically for local individuals, focussing financial support to helping to positively change the lives of those who are street homeless or at risk of homelessness in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Can you help make meaningful change?

Meaningful Change is reaching out to local retailers and businesses within Stratford-upon-Avon Town Centre to support the campaign by installing a mobile contactless donation device in their store or venue. This could be for a set period of time or on a trial basis initially, we are very open to discussing options that will work for retailers who would like to support the campaign.

The location of the devices will be included in any publicity for the campaign, and show the engagement of your business in this initiative that aims to positively change lives and make a meaningful change in Stratford.

Businesses participating in the campaign may also wish to promote their involvement as part of a corporate social responsibility programme.
